As a continuo player at the harpsichord or the organ, Korneel Bernolet will be playing with musicians and ensembles such as Scherzi Musicali (Nicolas Achten), Thomas Baeté, Canto LX (Frank Agsteribbe), Octopus (Bart Van Reyn), Orlandusensemble (Peter Ledaine), Aquil'AlterA.
Concerts as a soloist or chamber musician include the Fauré Requiem, improvisation performances, Liszt Via Crucis, several chamber recitals on harpsichord, the J.S. Bach 5th Brandenburg Concerto, organ recitals at the historical instruments in Stavele, Oostkamp and Veurne, and musical intermezzi on harpsichord during the Graupner festival at De Bijloke in Ghent.
His latest composition, the 'Korte Vlaamse Mis' ('Short Flemish Mass') is scheduled for premiere in July.Korneel acts as a conductor with Helicon Lier in work by Duruflé (Requiem) and Vaughan-Williams (G Minor Mass). He will be assisting Ewald Demeyere with soloists and ensemble of the Antwerp Conservatory in recreating the 'Signoor in China', an 18th century Antwerp baroque opera. At the Kurt Thomas Conducting Course, he will study on the Haydn Nelson Mass and Sjostakovitch 1st Piano-Trumpet Concerto. He also is assistent-conductor with Frank Agsteribbe with B'Rock in a Bach-dance project (performances in Rotterdam Gergiev-Festival and Brussels). Korneel will also lead an ad-hoc ensemble in the Pergolesi Stabat Mater.
